Reshan Rambocus
Chief Executive Officer and Founder
An experienced director on the board of various private equity funds and listed companies. Formerly the CFO of HSBC Mauritius and a partner with Ernst & Young, Reshan also spent several years with KPMG in London. He is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England & Wales and the Chartered Institute of Taxation in the UK.
Shawn Thompson
Director
Shawn holds a Bachelor of Commerce Honours (Ecos). He previously worked as Group Treasurer at SBM and COO at Investec Bank Mauritius. His areas of expertise include risk management, treasury management, new business development and strategy execution. Currently operating as an independent consultant, Shawn is a member of Safyr
Utilis Exco and sits on the board of Safyr Capital Partners.
Shaheen Coowar
Head of Client Services
Shaheen holds a BA (Hons) in Law and Management and is also a member of the Mauritius Institute of Directors (MIoD). Over the last 15 years, she has developed significant experience in company formation, corporate secretarial, corporate structuring, fund and trust administration as well as client servicing at companies like KPMG Peat Marwick International Ltd, Kross Border Trust Services Limited and Turnstone Corporate (Mauritius) Limited.
Hema Paupiah-Caleechurn
Head of Finance and Administration
Hema holds a BSc (Hon) in accounting with specialisation in Finance and is a Fellow Member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants. Hema joined Deutsche Bank (Mauritius) Limited and Deutsche International Trust Corporation (Mauritius) Limited in various roles from 2004 to 2019. With over 15 years of banking experience, she then joined Warwyck Private Bank Ltd in April 2019 as Head of Finance and was responsible for the operational running of the finance department. At Safyr, Hema heads the finance and administration department since 2020.
Deva Marianen
Chairman & Founder Safyr Group
An economist, Deva specialises in capital markets focussing on private equity. He has held positions in regional financial services groups, as well as on boards of investment funds. Deva led a number initial public offerings and technical listings in Mauritius and Europe and served as a member of the Listing Committee of the Stock Exchange in Mauritius for over a decade.
Bobby Yerkiah
Director Global FinCTax Services Ltd
With more than 20 years’ working experience, Bobby is an experienced professional in the Tax field in the Big 4 environment as well as in the offshore sector. Having worked at PwC and KPMG, Bobby is a Fellow Chartered and Certified Accountant (FCCA) and holds a Masters in Finance. Bobby is also the President of the International Fiscal Association (IFA) Mauritius Branch.
