Deva is the co-founder of the SAFYR UTILIS Group. He qualified as an economist, is a chartered secretary and has extensive experience as an administrator.
In addition to being a passionate entrepreneur, Deva specialises in capital markets with a strong focus on private equity and has, in the past, served as a member of the Listing Committee in Mauritius. He acts as an advisor to several large institutions and family offices. Throughout his career, Deva has led various mergers and acquisitions and built strong networks globally. He has gained expertise in the understanding of business environment of several countries within the African continent, especially within the Southern and Eastern African countries.
Deva enjoys living by the coast and tries to go for a walk on the beach once a day.

Chief Executive Officer
Reshan is the other founder of the SAFYR UTILIS Group. He is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales and the Chartered Institute of Taxation in the UK.
Reshan started his career in the UK where he qualified as a chartered accountant and chartered tax adviser. He left KMPG London in 1996 to return to Mauritius where he joined HSBC as Chief Financial Officer.
He then went on to become a partner in the Corporate Finance department at Ernst & Young prior to the set-up of Utilis Corporate Services Ltd, a management company. As an entrepreneur with an accounting background, Reshan's keen business acumen and eye for detail has also earned him seats on the boards of several listed companies.
Reshan enjoys playing football in his spare time.

Junaid holds a degree in Economics and Finance from the University of Mauritius and is a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants. In 2016, he was one of the few young Mauritian leaders selected to participate in the US State Department's Young African Leadership Initiative at the Virginia Commonwealth University, Richmond Virginia, as a Mandela Washington Fellowship.
Over the past 14 years, Junaid has gained significant experience in the financial services industry, namely in fund administration. Prior to joining SAFYR UTILIS, he worked for several top-tier firms, including IFS, Cim Global, Deutsche Bank and Harel Mallac Global. He has developed particular expertise in the Fintech sector. Junaid sits on the board of directors of a number of companies.
In his spare time, Junaid volunteers for humanitarian causes.
He also enjoys football and is a keen archer.

Head of Operations
Shaheen holds a B.A. (Hons) Law and Management Degree. She is also a member of the Mauritius Institute of Directors (MIoD).
Over the past 13 years, she has held a number of important positions in the Mauritian global business sector. She worked at KPMG Peat Marwick International Ltd, Kross Border Trust Services Limited and Turnstone Corporate (Mauritius) Limited before being promoted as Head of Corporate Services at Ninetyeast Financial Ltd in 2013.
She has developed significant experience in company formation, corporate secretarial, corporate structuring, fund and trust administration as well as client servicing. As an experienced director, she sits on the board of a number of companies.
In her spare time, Shaheen enjoys cooking, travelling and keeping up to date with both national and international events.

Head of Risk
Saleem was called to the bar of England & Wales at the Honourable Society of The Middle Temple in 2006, following the successful completion of his LLB (Hons) at the University of London and the Bar Vocational Course at Northumbria University. Two years later, he was sworn in as a barrister in Mauritius.
Saleem has developed strong expertise in the legal and compliance fields within the financial services industry. He is well versed in the management of in-house corporate legal, regulatory and risk requirements. As a barrister, he provides expert counsel and elaborates company policies related to various issues. At SAFYR UTILIS, he is in charge of staff training and awareness on risk management, thus ensuring we are prepared to live up to the challenges of a dynamic financial services landscape.
Before joining SAFYR UTILIS, he worked at IMM (Mauritius) Ltd, Cim Group of Companies and IQ EQ.
Saleem is very fond of nature and greenery and in his free time, he likes to go for a walk in the park to reflect and reconnect with nature.

Head of Finance
Hema holds a BSc (Hons) in Accounting with specialisation in Finance from the University of Mauritius and is a Fellow Member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA).
She has over 15 years of banking experience having worked for Deutsche Bank (Mauritius) Limited (DBML) and Deutsche International Trust Corporation (Mauritius) Limited (DITCML) from 2004 to 2019. She has worked in the finance department of DBML and DITCML as assistant to the Head of finance from 2004-2007 and was then promoted to Head of Finance in April 2007. Prior to joining DBML/DITCML, she has worked as auditor with PricewaterhouseCoopers and was mainly involved in the audit of banks. She eventually joined Warwyck Private Bank Ltd (WPBL) in April 2019 as Head of Finance, reporting to the Chief Operating Officer. She was responsible for the operational running of the finance department.
She joined the SAFYR UTILIS Group as Head of Finance, reporting to the Chief Executive Office in November 2020. She is responsible for all the finance matters of the Group.

Director Global FinCTAx Ltd
Davina is a member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation (CIOT) in the UK. She joined BDO LLP as a graduate trainee in London in 2008 after completing her degrees at Warwick University and Queen Mary University of London, respectively. After working as a manager in BDO's Tax Dispute Resolutions team, Davina moved to Moore Stephens LLP in November 2015, where she was a Senior Manager in their Tax Investigations and Dispute Resolutions team. She relocated to Mauritius in May 2018 and was appointed as a director of Global FinCTAx Ltd in September 2018. She works with clients across various jurisdictions on a range of tax issues. In addition to her UK tax expertise, Davina is proficient in Mauritian tax matters, ranging from tax advisory and tax compliance to tax litigation. Davina was awarded the ‘Top 35 under 35’ award for private clients in the UK.
In her spare time, Davina enjoys taking her dog out for a walk but is often found watching Netflix on the sofa.
